When she was lost in the forest, and without food, I appeared to her as a white dove. I gave her the key that opened a tree where she found bread and milk, a warm bed, and the clothes of a princess.
Then I asked her to fetch me a plain ring from an old woman who lives in deep in the forest. She followed me to the place, went inside, got past the old woman, and found the ring. Now she has come looking for me in the forest, but she does not see a white dove. She leans against a tree, wondering what has happened to her friend. I wrap my tree arms around her, and, when she turns, she sees who I am.
