People say I tell tall tales and I do admit that I can sometimes exaggerate. I’m not adverse to stretching the truth if it makes a good tale, but what I am about to tell you is not a word of a lie! The other day, I left the workshop and went wandering through the hills. It was a beautiful day and I decided that I would just keep walking and never go back.
Then, in the blue distance, I spotted a steep green hill, and just on the other side of it, a tower soared up out of the wild forest. It was so tall it had its roof in the clouds.
I strode towards it, and what do you know? It came striding towards me! The tower had legs! It leapt and bound over the steep green hill and before I knew it, a giant was standing before me.
“What do you want with me, you fly’s leg?” he roared.
I whimpered, “Well, sir, I thought perhaps I might go into the forest to earn some bread.”
And what do you think he did? He HIRED me!
