I did not wish to marry the son of the vizier, or, rather, I did not think it possible to marry anyone other than the man my father had chosen for me.
For that reason, I hardly let my heart fly to the young man I saw resting under a tree when I went riding by with my ladies. Yet it did fly, the moment he caught my eye.
Events proceeded as expected, and I was soon standing with the vizier’s son, wearing a wedding dress, and waiting for my father to arrive.
Then time stopped, and when it started again, the young man who had won my heart was standing before me in place of the vizier’s son! How did it happen? I must know!
