I found everything that I needed right at home. The toads under the castle gave me the treasure that proved that it was my birthright to rule. They gave me the finest carpet in the world. They gave me a ring far better than those my brothers brought back from their worldly travels.

Even my wife came from the toads. The old toad gave me a hollowed-out turnip harnessed to six mice, and then she instructed me to pick one of the toads that was hopping about.

She was hardly seated in the turnip when she transformed into a princess! The turnip turned into a coach, and it goes without saying that we did not need to drive home. We were already there!
