I had been napping below the ship deck when I was suddenly woken by the sound of my little son crying. He could not be comforted. My wife was standing over me, holding him and scolding me for leaving her alone on the deck while the crew slept.
She had every right to be angry, but I had never seen her angry before. We had only spoken kind words to one another.
The strange thing is, my son has not stopped crying ever since, and my wife has not stopped scolding me. I have to wonder what on earth happened while we slept?
