The king is so terrified that something will happen to his daughter that he refuses to let her leave the palace. He keeps her shut in her rooms like she’s some kind of prisoner. Of course I understand how bitterly she hates her confinement. I’ve listened to her troubles, and I’ve done all I can to soothe her. It’s time for a little magic.
I tell her to go and ask her father for a wooden wheel-barrow and a bear’s skin. He won’t refuse her.
Then I’ll cover her in the bear skin and turn the wheel-barrow into a vessel that will take her, at full speed, wherever she wants to go!
